What do I need to become a PR?
Posted by admin in Other - Education on 05 5th, 2010| icon31 Comment »

I’m going to become a Celebrity agent/ business agent.
I heard I have to go to college for Marketing or PR. Or both.
Since currently I am fourteen I want to practice so I can be very prepared.
:) does anyone know????

And I’m also home schooled and currently on summer break.
I don’t have the choice to go to school, and I kinda prefer homeschooling, but I do want to go to college R/L not online or anything so lmao.

Any tips will help
(Please do not tell me that I don’t have to go to college for it )

Does Public Relation need maths?

I’m currently jugling so many carreers at once. I’m a part time make up artist, aspiring actress and singer/songwriter the problem is I’m also a student getting my technical/vocational diploma on Marketing (Business Administration) and a brief concentration on Public Relations. I’m really talented, I’ve won many singing contests and lead roles on plays and Musicals. I’m also very good making publicity campaigns for products and I’ve won many competitions in the DECA Club (Marketing association). I’m good at that too.

Even though I’m really good with the carreers I’ve been pursuing, I just want to be a famous Hollywood actress! I’m only 17 and I feel like I need to make a decision before graduation. Should I get an associate’s degree instead of a bachelor’s in Business Adm, Marketing so that I can move to LA and start auditioning and then if it doesnt work out I’ll have a career to fall back on?
By the way, I’ve had many tarot and psychic readings and they’ve ALL said I should pursue acting and the Hollywood life, that I was born for it.

I’ve thought of communications/marketing and acting{where the role play comes in} but I’m not sure.

In college I participated in orchestrating a simulated public relations campaign for a real business. The course was designed to provide us with practical, hands on experience. In the section of my resume where I am discussing my accomplishments can I mention that experience…that I successful to park in organizing a public relations campaign for a small business?
yeah, duh, that was dumb. I meant to say that I successfully took part in organizing a public relations campaign for a local business.
Okay. I fully realize that about 90% of the people that spend their time on this website are idiots. Normally I ignore their silly comments, but when somebody insults my intelligence I have to draw the line. YOU are calling me a MORON. No, wait…whoever graduated me from English (Hello Mr, Merriam Webster…do you think that is proper grammar? graduated me from English). Not only do I have a bachelor’s degree, I am also currently pursuing a master’s degree-which I am willing to bet is something that you, who insulted me, have never achieved. There is a difference between a moron whose grammar is atrocious, and somebody who has been up reading, and studying for the last seventeen hours, and as a result her brain is not functioning correctly, and at its fullest capacity. I am not an idiot, I am tired for god’s sakes, and I really don’t appreciate your insult. It is so low class.

I am panning to do a business major…I heard PR is a good collateral major with it….But I am an international student so I heard that its hard to get a job after graduation… SO I have decided to concnetrate in mangement and marketing to be in a better shape…does it help?Let me know abt it?

Its not that a want to go to uni right now, i mean im still quite young but I am quite advanced for my age and im just curious what the work would be like.

I want to attend a one/two week confrence that is offered in D.C or the East coast area that for high school students who want to learn more or get an experience in legal/politial/international relations. Thanks! experience in one would be great.

mass media is essential for public relations. but these two areas have differences.what are they?

I will study abroad in Australia. I know that i will need further education if i go for psychology, which is fine. But i don`t know if i will be able to work in this field if i get a degree in PR. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
