To obtain Pier 1 Imports’ financial statements you can go to www.Pier1.com and click on the link at the bottom of the first page titled Investor’s Relations and then choose Annual Reports and Proxy Statements.

Does Pier 1 have a significant amount of bad debts? How can you tell?

What types of debt does Pier 1 Company have? Where did you find this information?

In addition to selling treasury stock, a company may use treasury stock when stock options are exercised or when debt is converted to stock. Pier 1 used some of its treasury shares to do this during 2000 and 2001. Where is this disclosed in the financial statements? How has the dollar amount of treasury shares on the comparative balance sheets decreased while, at the same time, the statement of cash flows shows cash outflow for the purchase of treasury shares.

And where can I find detals, if possible.

I am doing research for a project. I would want to hire a small local (massachusetts/nh) company. I would need them only to write and publish press releases, and to write material for our website.

Thanks!

Okay ive run into trouble trying to find the P/E ratio for Ford Motor Company for 07 and 06. Ive read the formula over and over again but i cannot find the right plug ins for it. here is the link for 2007 reports if anyone can take a look at them. http://www.ford.com/about-ford/investor-relations/company-reports/annual-reports

okay I am stuck! I **** at this stuff, and I have to do this question, and I am so lost! because the website the teacher gave me really doesn’t help, since i dont know anything, which is this. http://www.gm.com/company/investor_information/stockholder_info/:
anyways I can’t figure it out! It has been hours now!

the following four ratios for General Motors Corporation:
Current ratio
Debt ratio
Return on equity (ROE)
Return on investment (ROI)

in relation to profitability, liquidity, and
financial leverage. If you are assigned to the lender cluster, state whether you would
choose to accept or reject a loan of several million dollars to this company. If you are
assigned to the investor cluster, state whether you would purchase this company’s stock.
Note: Total debt on the General Motors Financials is the line labeled Total Liabilities plus
the line labeled Minority Interests.

Ok my uncle is a home builder in the metro Atlanta area, due to the credit and real estate market he is struggling to sell 4 new homes he built. He recently asked me to find out about private investors that might want an opportunity to buy out the houses.

So my question is: Where can I find investors and how do I get in contact with them?

What is a fair amount of profit an investor should make in relation to the appraisal value of the homes? (ex. If the home is appraised at 1 million how much should the investor pay, What percentage?

I am trying to help my company recruit a new director for investor relations. It’s a technology firm, not huge but growing. We need someone with finance as well as communications abilities. Probably midwest, but could be from anywhere. Know anyone good?

R.E.C. Inc.’s staff of accountants finished preparing the financial statements for 2007 and will meet next week with the company’s CEO as well as the Director of Investor Relations and representatives from the marketing and art departments to design the current year’s
annual report.

***What are the main idea(s) you think the company should present to shareholders in the annual report.***

i have few questions. can someone give me some idea about this:

1. In view of the fact that the market is efficient in the semi strong form, there is no value to investors in companies publishing accounting reports, because the information is already impounded in share price before that information is published.

2. What are stock market anomalies? Why they are important in relation to stock market efficiency theory?

3. ‘The shares of ABC are under priced at the moment’. Comment on the validity of this statement.
