The embargo should end, the cold war ended a long time ago and Fidel is on his death bed.
It’s as if when the cold war ended, the US just forgot about the embargo it had on Cuba.
Trade with Cuba could really help stimulate the American economy. In Cuba, beef is like gold. Cuba is poor because of the embargo on it.
The US is the only nation with an embargo on Cuba. The US also doesn’t seem to have a problem trading with communist countries since they’re no longer a threat any more. The US and China are on really good terms.
I hope so. The Cuban people have suffered enough under the boycott. China was just as communist as Cuba when we started trading with them. Now China is much more capitalist and the people have more freedom than they did a generation ago. The way to reform Cuba is to trade with them and show them the benefits of capitalism and democracy.
Depends on what Russia has to say, hear they have been reaching out to their cold war allies lately. Castro’s brother is meeting with the Kremlin in the next week or so.
The US has been trying to do with Cuba, what Israel is trying to do to Palestine, For half a century, it has caused hardship to the Cuban people .
The Republicans did not want to affront the Cuban Republican voters in Florida,
.
The Economic blockade of Cuba has failed, Obama already has stated he will drop some of Dubya’s policies towards Cuba, but is not yet ready to stop the blockade.

And yet, you don’t see them going to the “worker’s paradise” in any kind of haste, do you?
Give HObama enough time, and they won’t have to go to Cuba as the Cuban philosophy of enslavement through communism will be alive and well in the US.
