You should still look into the other SUNY schools (you might want to call up one of the SUNY marketing departments and ask this question – they may be very frank in their response), but it appears FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) is part of the SUNY system. And according to their website (see below), the teachers themselves are all working currently in industry. So they are an immediate set of connections.
