I’m at that point in my education where I need to decide, and I cannot make up my mind. I have skill sets for each but I’m really looking for high salary potential and (most importantly) job security (plus a fun and interesting ride is always worthwhile).

Personally, I say neither. I say Medical Field all the way. Its secure and depending on which branch you can make plenty of money. Science is always changing so it’d always be worthwhile. I would never advise being a nurse, doctor, surgeon, or dentist. Nurses work very hard for an acceptable amount of money. Doctors go to school forever and end up with mounds of debt. surgeons go to school forever, make plenty of money, but the work very hard. dentists go to school forever. but those jobs are secure.
