If I can go into marketing, I’d like do so for the travel industry…while also using a communications degree for tourism public relations and travel writing / photography.

I am currently a freshman Biology major at a university, and I am considering becoming a doctor. However, I find public health very intriguing because I want to be involved at the international level, especially with US-Chinese relations. Although this is quite superficial, I would like to ask how much financial success with one of these jobs offer? So far, the highest I have seen is about $100,000 a year. Are there any famous people in the Public health arena? Also, I am interested in business. Does public health carry a business component? Do public health majors ever start their own companies?

Thanks.

I’m a college senior. I had recently been on an interview with a PR/Marketing firm. Although they did not hire me as an intern, they said that they would be glad to have me next year if I took some PR courses and increased my PR writing experience.
Can anyone tell me what do I need to do? Like what courses I should take or some extracurricular activities I should get involved in.
Can a marketing degree help with PR?

work but I am looking for more internship type possibilities to add to my resume. I am an English major in college and the local papers have already filled their spots for their summer programs

I found an internship for a Marketing/Public Relations Position for the local Opera company. Should I apply? I know I want to write or be an editor for a magazine so would this position be way too off base from Cosmo, Seventeen, etc?

Right now I’m in college studying marketing, then after that I hope to get my master’s studying public relations. Would it be beneficial to take a few classes and study up on a new language, or would it not really matter at all?

i am going to take either, but im not sure which one is better, because i have found that both are interesting

I was just wondering what a marketing major would entail, what kind of careers would involve this major. I know its related to public realtions, which would be harder and involve more speech communications skills?
