im interested in it, but what exactly is it?? from what i’ve read, its like event planning. but i also have read its like advertising. so im confused. also what types of occupations fall under public relations?

what type of major do i take if i dont want to attend schools such as the fashion institute of technology or FIDM

Ok here is the question:

Drawing on what you have learned about public opinion, as well as both the art and science of persuasion, develop a one to two page mini proposal to present to the school system. Focus on how you would propose to put the needs of the school system on the news agenda for your community and how you would develp public relations strategies to shift public opinion toward greater volunteerism.”

Investor’s Daily thinks it is, and I agree. It will reduce crime and lawlessness, as much on Mexico’s side of the border as on ours.

They couldn’t be more wrong.

Mexico is no enemy, but it wouldn’t be looking at a fence if it didn’t show so little regard for lawful boundaries in the first place.

It has failed so badly at it that one wonders what Mexico’s idea of good relations with the U.S. is, given that no nation on Earth will tolerate an unchecked flood of people into its boundaries.
In the long run, this fence won’t mean bad relations with Mexico, but more sovereignty to both sides. The current situation on the border, where criminals operate unchecked, is exactly the opposite of that. And a million illegal aliens crossing into the U.S. from Mexico each year creates big social problems for both countries.

Rule of law on all sides is undermined with the growth of underworld smuggling rackets on the borderlands. Meanwhile, U.S. cities are flooded with illegals who impose. On the Mexican side, children grow up with absentee parents, as parents head north.

Vicious human-smuggling networks have grown, and a war between them is escalating, mainly on the Mexico side. It’s precisely because there are still holes in the border to fight over.

Ending access to those routes will raise the costs of drug smuggling and discourage illegal immigration. It will also make drug traffickers and people smugglers easier for Mexican law enforcement to corner…”

Which is the better career in terms of pay and employment opportunities?

It has been 6 years since I graduated from college with a Bachelors Degree in English. I want to enter a career in PR, communications or journalism. All the job ads always say 2-5 years experience required. How am I supposed to get the experience if nobody hires me entry level? I have applied to numerous jobs in these areas and haven’t gotten an interview to this day. Is a degree in English too broad/not specific enough to enter these areas? Can I even get into these areas with a Bachelors in English alone? Or will I need to get a Masters Degree in communications or PR to get in? Why are these areas so competitive and how do you get entry level positions in these areas?

i have few questions. can someone give me some idea about this:

1. In view of the fact that the market is efficient in the semi strong form, there is no value to investors in companies publishing accounting reports, because the information is already impounded in share price before that information is published.

2.What are stock market anomalies? Why they are important in relation to stock market efficiency theory?

3.‘The shares of ABC are under priced at the moment’. Comment on the validity of this statement.
