public relations?

What books should one read regarding public relations? I want to know what books elaborate on public relations entirely that will help me gain further knowledge of this field.

    Go to a bookstore or your local library. Ask the people in either locations what they recommend.

    Read anything from Aristotle. Understanding philosophy helps you understand the public in general.

    Take an hour or so to browse the subject in a Barnes and Noble or Borders book store. The section pertaining to that is not very large. Pick up 5 or 6 that look good. There are people who made it in the industry whose proven track records will make you want to read about what they know. Why stick with just one or two? Truth is, there is more than one way to approach the subject. If you read them all, you will not only get a handle on the industry, you will find out what doesn’t work as well. Also, there will be common threads you will find in each one. Some will be geared toward more specific industries, perhaps, but the only way to get a real education is to read many. After you read them, why not try to get a junior position in the field where someone who sees how much you are educating yourself would agree to mentor you?
