I have my bachelor’s degree in public relations and I recently moved to Orlando, but I have no idea where to look for a job! I’ve checked on careerbuilder and monster, but the only thing I really hear back on are those scams and commission deals. Anyone have ANY advice???

Federal jobs: usajobs.gov
State jobs: search the internet, visit the local office and attend every job-seeker free training they offer.
College Alumni Career Site: get registered online, browse jobs daily,
Seek out specific companies where you live, visit their websites and job hunt.
Get all your paperwork in order: College transcripts, Personal recommendations, updated resume, etc.. Be prepared to be hired “instantly”.
Don’t apply too high up – be willing to work your way up. Get your foot in the door.
Be careful on the internet job boards – they sell your personal info to anyone who will pay the fee. As you’re finding out, corporations really don’t “troll” for employees – they receive far more applications than they have time to review. Use the boards only to identify potential employers, then seek out their website, etc…
Getting a job is a full-time endeavor. Good luck…

There aren’t any jobs. The unemployment rate is on the rise.
Get ANY job – then look for a better job.
