I’m worried about my son. He has just graduated, he has been studying for his degree at a university for mass communication in public relations. He have also previously had his diploma in advertising.

Can someone tell me what job? (and position title) can he acquire based on his current qualification? And also the amount of income for him as a freshgrad.

Thank you for helping out.

Please explain the following if possible: How do you explain to a potential client the difference between their use of the generic term “public relations” (relating to ‘good PR’) and what a public relations practioner does. I am looking for a succinct answer that easily explains the difference is what many lay people think is PR and what a degreed professional is/does. Thanks!

I want to major in this fast growing career, but what field should I major in to make big bucks?
Public relations – wikipedia

I am writing a speech on PR, and have asked this question twice, but have not had answers that pertain to my speech. So, I am trying to be a bit more specific here.

I would like help thinking of a time when PR absolutely saved a company that was going through a crisis. Anything in the last 10 years will do. Something people will remember, even if they are not involved in PR. This is for a conference, and I want to spruce this speech up as best as possible.

Thanks!

Example:

The Director for the Department of Commerce (Public Relations)
or
The Director of Finance for the World Bank (International Relations)
public relations

are these all the same terms or do they mean something entirely different?

I’m especially interested in looking at PR vs Public Affairs

Also, for anyone in HR or hiring, how important is a masters degree if I have stellar grades from my bachelor’s degree?

I’m looking into public relations as a major and I was wondering if there are any colleges out there that have an outstanding public relations major.

Teaching with a public relations degree?
Posted by admin in Teaching on 02 17th, 2009| icon32 Comments »

I got a BA in Public Relations, but now considering teaching. Maybe middle school age. But since I didn’t do education-related classes/degree, what steps can I take? I think I’d like to do social studies type teaching. But I’m afraid I’ll have to do a bachelor’s degree all over again. Did anyone else out there go to teaching after getting a degree in something unrelated? What are the next steps?
